Student Food Service Balance Notification

L’Anse Area Schools have made adjustments to our School Messenger notification system. We believe that the issues are corrected. Every Wednesday we will be running the food service low balance for families with a balance of $5.00 or less. Please let your building office know if you are receiving calls at an undesirable location.

The L’Anse Area Schools have installed a security system for its door entrances. The front and back doors will be open every morning from 7:00 am until 8:30 am, as students make their way to class. After 8:30 am, parents or guests must press the silver button to buzz the office. After you identify yourself, a staff member will press a button to open the door. Once you are granted access, you will have 10 seconds to open the door. The doors will again be open at 3:00 pm, for parents to pick up their children. Sorry for the inconvenience. This system was installed for the security and well-being of our students.

L’Anse Area Schools
September 30, 2015

Our new Skylert School Messenger system has been activated for both food service and student attendance. Families will receive automated phone calls, e-mails, and text messages regarding their children’s lunch account balances and absences from school. If you want to edit the numbers that are contacted, you may log onto your skyward family access to make changes. If you need assistance with the changes, please call the building secretaries.

Based on USDA Regulations, the L’Anse Area Schools will be raising the cost of all “Extra” servings. The new cost will be $1.25, and will start on October 1, 2015.
